Nelson Jacobsen
A self-proclaimed “socialpreneur,” Nelson provides Altavoz with a visionary and accomplished leader. He purchased Altavoz in 1995, established Altavoz.com and is the one in charge of watering the plants. In addition to that, Nelson is the chief architect and guru who guides and grows the company with as much care as he does with those tiny trees. He made his mark as a socialpreneur when he established Tsunami BandAide to raise funds in support of the Boxer Day Tsunami relief effort. His work bringing together entertainers and the NGO community to support causes led Nelson to launch the Help Earth Foundation (HEF). Today, HEF is the majority owner of Altavoz. Currently, Nelson is an active participant and strategic advisor on crisis data and cloud computing, and is fully engaged across social media and is Foursquare Mayor of his kids’ elementary school. Through extensive music business and digital strategy experience evolves a businessman-artist with weathered wisdom, excellent creative judgment, confidence and a steadfast belief in the mission of our company.
